Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Specialist Eating Disorder TherapistJob Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team at Elysium Healthcare as a Clinical Psychologist - Specialist Eating Disorder Therapist. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psychological interventions and assessments for patients with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide specialist psychological assessments and individualised evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.
  2. Deliver evidence-based and formulation-driven psychological perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning, and decision-making.
  3. Manage a complex caseload as an individual psychological therapist working within a multidisciplinary team, in addition to facilitating group psychological interventions and family/systemic interventions.
  4. Monitor clinical progress through regular reviews of psychological treatment.
  5. Provide high-quality clinical supervision to junior members of the psychology team.
  6. Support staff development through the provision of training, consultation, formulation meetings, and reflective practice sessions.
  7. Contribute to service developments within the therapies team and wider service.
Requirements:
  1. Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent if trained overseas).
  2. Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities (e.g. anxiety, trauma, depression, self-harm), and the impact these have on both children and adolescents, and their families.
  4. Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position.
