About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting older people to live independently in their own homes? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? If so, we would love to hear from you

As an Independent Living Advocate, you will work closely with older clients to identify their needs and preferences, and develop personalized plans to support them in achieving their goals. You will also work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that service users receive seamless and comprehensive care.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct home visits to assess the needs and preferences of older clients
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to support older clients in achieving their goals
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and comprehensive care
  • Provide support and guidance to older clients to enable them to make informed decisions about their care
  • Maintain accurate records of service user interactions and activities
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A caring and empathetic attitude towards older people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
  • Basic IT skills and proficiency in using electronic records systems
  • A valid driver's license and business insurance
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum, plus mileage allowance and bonuses for completing online training and referring friends to work for Age UK. We also offer 4 weeks' holiday per year, pro rata, and enhanced DBS checks.
