Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of clinical trials and studies, working closely with our Principal Investigators and research staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an expert resource for all aspects of clinical trial setup, ensuring compliance with UK and EU regulations, Trust policies, and ICH-GCP or ISO 14155.
  • Support the Principal Investigator and research team in ensuring trials are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budgets associated with clinical trials and lead the financial processes associated with coordinating research studies.
  • Project manage the delivery of clinical trials, identifying and mitigating any blockages to study setup and recruitment.
  • Establish and update Standard Operating Procedures and support the development of local and national policies for research.
  • Ensure the maintenance of Investigator Site Files and completion of Case Report Files/eCRFs with high accuracy.
  • Act as an expert resource for staff in relation to the financial management of clinical research studies.
  • Use expert judgement in relation to competing demands for funding/resources.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical research regulations, including ICH-GCP and ISO 14155.
  • Experience in managing clinical trials, including budgeting and financial management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
