Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team at Derby Family Medical Centre. As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, making professional decisions, and working independently in primary care.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and committed team that prides itself on delivering high-quality healthcare services. You will be well-supported by senior GPs and a friendly admin team, enabling you to focus on providing exceptional patient care.


Main Responsibilities
  • Making necessary referrals, requests for investigations, and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Conducting initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evaluating patient care.
  • Working independently, making professional decisions, and prescribing within your scope of practice.
  • Supporting the GP team in managing same-day appointment requests from patients and prioritizing their needs accordingly.
  • Demonstrating safe clinical decision-making and providing high-level independent care, including assessment, diagnostic, and prescribing skills.
  • Attending to patients with urgent medical problems.

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner who:

  • Has primary care experience.
  • Is a prescriber.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
