Job Title: Facilities Manager Position

About the Role:
The Facilities Manager will provide a facilities support service to the business across all sites, ensuring that the needs of the business, staff, contractors, and visitors are met. This role involves managing a small team and requires a facilities background, ideally from within the logistics, warehousing, or commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Control task requests and project planning details.
• Obtain quotations and control/reduce operational costs.
• Provide and record project planning details.
• Induct, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with all contractors.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and monitor maintenance records.
• Maintain Permit to Work log for contractor/Maintenance Op as appropriate (all sites).
• Respond to emergency situations and host contractors out of hours.
• Ensure sites are prepared for adverse weather conditions (snow, ice, darkness).
• Manage the cleaning, facilities, and maintenance teams.
• Ensure all teams and contractors adhere to H&S and COSHH regulations.
• Maintain internal and external areas of the sites to a high standard.
• Support management of canteen, staff, policies, and process, and management of 3rd party security companies.
• Update and store documents correctly.
• Maintain security staff and contractor records.
• Draft SOPs for review.

Requirements:
• Previous facilities experience is essential.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Strong awareness of Health and Safety (qualifications beneficial).
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite and competent administration skills.
• Must have own transport and full driving licence.
• Based in Hereford.
• Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Flexibility required, to include emergency out of hours response.
• Salary £35,000.
