The responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Developing and implementing nutritional-balanced menus that cater to individual tastes and preferences
  2. Providing special dietary requirements, including pureed and modified meals
  3. Ensuring food is cooked and served at the correct temperature
  4. Maintaining efficient and hygienic food preparation practices among kitchen staff
  5. Overseeing daily and weekly kitchen cleaning
  6. Ensuring HACCP compliance and maintaining accurate records
  7. Leading a small team and compiling their weekly rotas
  8. Monitoring and addressing incidents or accidents
  9. Upkeeping expert Health & Safety knowledge
  10. Managing food costs effectively
  11. Staying informed about current food trends
