About the Role
As an Interim Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Accounts Payable function with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely payment approvals, hold them accountable, and challenge delays in the approval process. Additionally, you will deliver training and "train the trainer" sessions to improve adherence to processes and produce clear performance reports on AP activity for senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Accounts Payable function with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely payment approvals.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable and challenge delays in the approval process.
  • Deliver training and "train the trainer" sessions to improve adherence to processes.
  • Produce clear performance reports on AP activity for senior leaders.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have substantial experience in Accounts Payable management, including leading a transactional finance function while also "rolling up your sleeves" to ensure invoices are actioned. You should also have a proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively, with the grit and determination to get through backlogs. Furthermore, you should possess strong problem-solving skills and a track record of process improvement in AP, as well as experience producing performance reports and managing team training.

What We Offer
In return for your expertise, Robertson Bell offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a friendly, collaborative team that values accountability and efficiency. The role is based in East London, with the expectation of working three days per week in the office.
