Night Support Worker Opportunity

Venn Group is seeking a Night Support Worker to join our team in Ipswich. This is a 2-month temporary contract, working full-time, 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a young person's homeless hostel
  • Conduct regular curfew checks and monitor CCTV systems to identify any potential incidents
  • Undertake frequent patrols of the building and monitor any anti-social behaviour
  • Deal with health and safety issues and act as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm
  • Contact the on-call manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
  • Be compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
  • Deal with mental health crises that may arise
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar position working night shifts
  • An enhanced DBS with adults and children's workforce check (ideally within three years) or the willingness to obtain a new one
  • Experience working with vulnerable clients
