Process Safety Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Process Safety Manager to join a leading Commercial Explosive Manufacturer in the UK. The role is based out of Alfreton, Derbyshire, and offers a chance to work with a market leader whose service provision spans multiple channels and applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a Culture of Process Safety and Health and Safety Excellence
- Accountable to the Head of SHEAQ Northern Europe for all matters relating to Process Safety across all relevant areas of the Business
- Effective management of major accident hazard identification and risk assessment processes
- Participating in incident investigations and root cause analysis as well as conduct on-site inspections and audits of Process Safety procedures and practices
- Ensure that all Process Safety Accidents and Serious Near Misses are subjected to a full and thorough investigation
- Managing all Health and Safety for onsite staff
- Educated to degree level in Process Safety
- A thorough understanding of the best available techniques for carrying out comprehensive risk assessments as well as the identification of major accident hazards
- Ideally previous experience of working within an Upper Tier COMAH facility, hence an appreciation of COMAH legislation
