Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care Service. The successful candidate will work across both our North locality teams, covering Huntingdon and Peterborough, and will be based at either Kingfisher House or Phorpres Close.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work across Pathway (care at home) and Pathway (Health Interim beds) for the Intermediate Care service.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner within the integrated multi-professional team.
  • Undertake assessment of patients with complex and multiple pathologies using specialist clinical reasoning skills.
  • Identify patient needs, agree goals and provide appropriate therapy interventions, provide equipment and rehabilitation programmes.
  • Take a holistic approach to all therapeutic interventions, working across professional boundaries at times.
  • Keep the patient at the centre of care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision making.
  • Provide support and education to peers, junior staff, non-registered staff, and students.
