We are seeking a seasoned Senior Commercial Contracts Attorney to join our team at Honeywell UOP in Bracknell, where you will provide critical legal support for our business in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East Region.
This hybrid role offers a unique blend of office and remote work, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and draft a wide range of commercial agreements, including license agreements, services agreements, guarantee agreements, and equipment/product supply agreements, with a mix of international government and private customers in the refining, petrochemical, gas, and renewables industries.
- Review third-party terms and conditions, including those issued pursuant to competitive tenders, for both private and state-owned customers.
- Collaborate with the Honeywell UOP Sales and Business teams to negotiate and conclude commercial agreements, participating in face-to-face negotiations with external customers and their legal counsel, and adopting appropriate risk management strategies.
- Assist in reviewing disputes, claims, and litigations initiated against Honeywell UOP and provide legal support in the defense and/or settlement of the same.
- Promote compliance with all Honeywell policies, including those related to Sales Agents, Competition Law, Export Control, and the Schedule of Executive Approvals, and update intranet sites with standard documents.
- Law degree and higher legal education.
- 5+ years of experience working on varied commercial contracts, including contracts with values exceeding $10M.
- Attention to detail and experience with risk management strategies.
- Experience with face-to-face negotiations with external customers and their legal counsel.
