Job Opportunity

Cardiff & Vale University Health Board is seeking a skilled Developmental Therapist to join our team within the Flying Start service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy to children aged 0-4 years old in designated areas of Cardiff.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong understanding of child development and communication disorders. Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning is essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose communication difficulties in children aged 0-4 years old
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified needs
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to promote effective communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the evaluation of program effectiveness
