Exciting Opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist

An innovative service offering assessment and treatment of young people aged between 14 and 25 years with a variety of complex mental health needs is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join their team. This is a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

About the Role
  • Providing specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention for young people (14-25)
  • Offering clinical supervision and training to members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Offering supervision and supporting the development of Assistant Psychologists/Trainee Clinical Psychologists
  • Providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups
  • Leading on projects for service improvement
About the Team

The team utilises a formulation approach and mentalizing framework in their work with young people and their families. You would be joining a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Psychological Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, and Assistant Practitioners.

Requirements
  • Post-graduate degree in clinical psychology accredited by BPS
  • Registered as a Practitioner psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working with a range of complex and challenging behaviours and exercising full clinical responsibility for psychological treatment
  • Experience of representing psychology within MDT settings (clinical and organisational contexts)
  • Knowledge of Mental Health legislation within specialist clinical context
