Job Overview

We are a Level 2 unit with 18 cots, providing high-quality care to babies and their families. As a dynamic Band 6 neonatal nurse, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based care and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.

Main Duties

As an experienced nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality, research-based care to babies and their families
  • Supporting and managing a caseload of patients, including assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Providing health promotion and education to patients and carers
  • Liaising effectively with members of the Primary Health Care team and other agencies
  • Acting as a role model and leader to others, motivating a team to deliver excellent care

Person Specification

We are looking for a nurse with:

  • Essential criteria: RN/RSCN, QIS, evidence of relevant post-registration professional development, Resuscitation Council Neonatal life support, and Practice assessor
  • Desirable criteria: Obtained or working towards 1st level degree, 2 years experience working on a Neonatal Unit, and budget management
