Job Overview

Main Duties

As an experienced nurse, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team of motivated and skilled staff. You will assess care needs, implement and evaluate programmes of care for children and their families, and work in partnership with ward managers, consultants, and nurse specialists to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement care pathways, PGDs guidelines, and policies to support high-quality patient care
  • Work closely with the ward manager and consultants to ensure effective patient care
  • Support the development of link nurse roles and care pathways
  • Be clinically credible in the delivery of general and specialist paediatric services
  • Take an active role in assessing and supporting the patient experience within children's services

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced nurse with the following qualifications and skills:

  • RSCN/RN Child qualification
  • EPLS/APLS course
  • Mentor/assessor qualification
  • Obtained or working towards 1st level degree

Desirable criteria include ACP, HDU post registrations course or equivalent experience, simulation experience, and EPLS instructor qualification.
