Job Overview

We are a Level 2 unit with 18 cots, providing high-quality care to babies and their families. As a dynamic Band 6 neonatal nurse, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based care and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.

Main Duties

As an experienced nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality, research-based care to babies and their families
  • Supporting and managing a caseload of patients, including assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Providing health promotion and education to patients and carers
  • Liaising effectively with members of the Primary Health Care team and other agencies
  • Acting as a role model and leader to others, motivating a team to deliver excellent care

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • RN/RSCN qualification
  • QIS certification
  • Evidence of relevant post-registration professional development
  • Resuscitation Council Neonatal life support certification
  • Practice assessor qualification

Desirable criteria include:

  • Obtained or working towards a 1st-level degree
  • 2 years' experience working on a Neonatal Unit
  • Budget management skills
