Job Title: Pharmaceutical Development Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Development Team Lead to join our team at Vectura. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of scientific professionals in the delivery of projects while maintaining high standards in quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Manage the daily activities of scientific professionals, setting priorities and ensuring timely task completion. Provide direct supervision and support to your team, guiding performance and development.
  2. Project & Resource Management: Ensure that equipment, materials, and resources are available to support project plans for up to three months. May be accountable for aspects of the project plan.
  3. Quality & Compliance: Uphold company standards for Health & Safety (H&S) and Quality, ensuring team adherence to policies and governance. Ensure that all team members engaged in GMP activities are properly trained and compliant with the quality management system.
  4. Mentorship & Development: Guide and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
  5. Technical Expertise: Apply your understanding of the team's scientific work to challenge and ensure the quality of experimental design and analysis.
  6. HR Management: Manage HR processes, including performance reviews and development planning for team members.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience managing scientific teams, ideally within pharmaceutical development or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of GMP, Quality, and H&S standards, with a commitment to ensuring compliance.
  3. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-departmentally and externally with suppliers or clients.
  4. Technical expertise in pharmaceutical development, with the ability to challenge and guide experimental design and analysis.
