Job Title: Software Engineering Team Lead

RINA is a global engineering consultancy seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Team Lead to join its Mission Systems capability. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of embedded software engineers and managing project utilization and technical tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of embedded software engineers
  • Manage project utilization and allocate technical tasks
  • Project manage technical projects for external clients
  • Manage software requirements analysis and design
  • Define software architecture and prepare related documents and reports
  • Manage software quality control and technical assurance
  • Hold technical design reviews and decide appropriate actions
  • Write technical specifications
  • Develop, code, and integrate embedded software into embedded computer units
  • Coordinate debugging and testing
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years' team lead experience of software engineers in a work environment
  • Experience of real-time applications in embedded software development environments
  • Current C/C++ programming expertise
  • Object-oriented design experience, associated with UML formalism
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and DevOps working patterns
  • Ideal knowledge of RTOS (FREE RTOS, VxWorks, Integrity, LinxOS, Linux RT...)
  • Knowledge of Avionics, Defence, Space, or Railway Domain
  • Evidence of developing embedded systems in high-pressure environments
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • SC clearance or British citizenship with 5+ years of living/work experience in the UK
