About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business educator to join our team as a Second in Charge of Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our Business curriculum, working closely with the Head of Department to ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the department.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving strong outcomes in Business education, with a strong ability to inspire and nurture pupils. They will also have high expectations for pupil behaviour and learning, and a commitment to serving our diverse community in Brent.

As a key member of our Business department, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and teaching across the academy, and support our school improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Business curriculum, working closely with the Head of Department
  • Support the Head of Department in ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the department
  • Contribute to the development of the Business department, including curriculum design and delivery
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the department
  • Support the development of pupils' skills and knowledge in Business education
