SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education - Kent.

This role offers the chance to work with students who require additional support, providing tailored assistance to help them succeed.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special educational needs in the classroom, ensuring they can access the curriculum.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Encourage the social and emotional development of students, building their confidence and resilience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special needs support is advantageous.
