Job Title: Teaching Assistant for Inclusive Learning
Location: Stratford Upon Avon
We are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to join our inclusive school in Stratford Upon Avon. As a Teaching Assistant for Inclusive Learning, you will play a vital role in ensuring children with special educational needs receive the tailored education and care they require to succeed in a learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver individualised support to children with a range of SEND requirements, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and physical disabilities.
- Collaborate with the lead SEND Coordinator to develop and implement tailored education plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
- Create a safe, supportive, and motivating environment that fosters self-esteem and independence in pupils.
- Use a variety of teaching resources and sensory equipment to engage and stimulate learning in line with each child's individual requirements.
- Contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide valuable feedback on student progress.
- Promote effective communication between pupils, teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals.
- Comply with school policies, including safeguarding and child protection protocols, at all times.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Experience working with children with SEND or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
- A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to managing challenging behaviors and situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children and adults.
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude with a commitment to inclusive education.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check.
- Flexibility with working hours to accommodate the needs of students and the school.
