The RoleWe are seeking a Deputy Editor to join our team at The Banker, a flagship publication of the Financial Times Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our editorial coverage and contributing to the development of our news agenda.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our editorial team to identify and pursue key stories and scoops.
- Support the Editor-in-Chief in making strategic decisions about our editorial direction and new formats.
- Write high-quality news, analysis, and long-form pieces, as well as commission and edit the work of others.
- Develop and maintain a network of freelance correspondents and opinion writers.
- Occasionally travel to attend and report from industry events.
- Moderate panel discussions and contribute to our multimedia output, including videos and podcasts.
