The Financial Times Group is seeking a seasoned Deputy Editor to drive the editorial direction of The Banker, a flagship publication renowned for its insightful and authoritative reporting on the global banking industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief to shape the publication's editorial strategy and develop new formats to engage our global audience.
  • Coach and mentor reporters to secure scoops and deepen their sources, ensuring high-quality content that meets the publication's standards.
  • Write news, analysis, and long-form pieces, as well as commission and edit contributions from industry experts and academics.
  • Occasionally travel to attend industry events and moderate panel discussions organized by The Banker and FT Live.
  • Develop a network of freelance correspondents to provide fresh perspectives on key industry issues.
