The RoleWe are seeking a Deputy Editor to join our team at The Banker, a flagship publication of the Financial Times Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our editorial coverage and contributing to the development of new formats and products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the editorial strategy for The Banker, working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and other senior editors.
- Commission and edit articles, features, and other content for The Banker, ensuring high-quality output that meets the needs of our audience.
- Write news, analysis, and long-form pieces, as required, to contribute to The Banker's multimedia output.
- Collaborate with other teams within the Financial Times Group to develop new products and formats that expand our reach and engagement.
- Represent The Banker at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key stakeholders and promoting our brand.
- Contribute to the development of The Banker's multimedia output, including videos, podcasts, and other digital content.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced journalist who can drive our editorial coverage and contribute to the development of new formats and products. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of producing high-quality content and a deep understanding of the financial sector.
They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have a strong network of contacts within the financial sector and be able to build relationships with key stakeholders to promote The Banker's brand and interests.
