About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS Learning Disability Team in Dudley. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated and supportive multi-disciplinary team to provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment interventions to children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for assessing and identifying strategies to support young people with their sensory profiles, as well as providing evidence-based mental health interventions and participating in the team's Challenging Behaviour Intervention.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with a governing body as relevant to the above
- Evidence of post-registration relevant to Mental Health practice
- Working as a qualified OT within the designated service area
- Carrying a caseload of service users with complex and diverse needs in a mental health setting
- Broad knowledge of current best practice in reference to Learning Disabilities and CAMHS
