About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to join our Dudley CAMHS Learning Disability Team. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated and supportive multi-disciplinary team to provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities and mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Assessing and identifying strategies to support young people with their sensory profiles
- Providing occupational therapy assessment and treatment interventions
- Using evidence-based mental health interventions and participating in the team's Challenging Behaviour Intervention

Our CAMHS Service is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals passionate about working with children, young people, and their families to develop creative solutions to improve their mental health difficulties. We operate across four geographical areas, with a specialist learning disability team dedicated to children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with a governing body relevant to the role
- Evidence of post-registration experience in mental health practice
- Experience working as a qualified OT in a mental health setting
