Occupational Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to join our Dudley CAMHS Learning Disability Team on a part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive multi-disciplinary team, providing expert care and support to children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities who are experiencing mental health needs and behaviours of concern.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strategies to support young people with their sensory profiles.
- Develop and implement evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver Challenging Behaviour Intervention and participate in mental health interventions.
Our CAMHS Service is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals passionate about working with children, young people, and their families to develop creative solutions to improve their mental health difficulties.
We operate across four geographical areas, with a specialist learning disability team dedicated to children and young people with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
Person Specification:Education and Training:- Essential:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with a governing body as relevant to the above.
- Evidence of post-registration relevant to Mental Health practice.
- Essential:
- Working as a qualified OT within the designated service area.
- Carrying a caseload of service users with complex and diverse needs in a mental health setting.
- Essential:
- Broad knowledge of current best practice in reference to Learning Disabilities and CAMHS.
