Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Personal Assistant to accompany our client, Subhan, on his daily activities.

Subhan is a 26-year-old young man who lives with his parents and sister in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. He has a rare genetic disorder called Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, which affects his visual impairment and requires him to have support with daily tasks.

The ideal candidate will be able to assist Subhan with attending college three days a week, where he studies IT, Art, and Stage Craft. This will involve reiterating information from the lessons to help him complete the work effectively.

Outside of college, Subhan enjoys going to the theatre, cinema, bowling alley, and the Alan Shearer Centre. He also loves to use public transport and meet up with friends for food and shopping ventures.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and able to provide companionship and support to Subhan on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Full clean UK driving license and own car
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
