Administrative Coordinator for Haematology Department

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and efficient Administrative Coordinator to join our Haematology Department at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Consultants, Junior Doctors, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule Haematology appointments, including 2WW bookings and general admin duties.
  • Coordinate the department's Governance meetings, including minute taking.
  • Provide administrative support to the Consultants, Junior Doctors, and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries from GPs, patients, and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
  • Communicate highly sensitive information to patients and consultants.

Requirements

  • GCSE education or equivalent, with good passes in Maths and English.
  • Previous experience of working in a health service background, with customer care experience.
  • Computer literate, with knowledge of MS Office and databases.
