Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Podiatrist to join our Diabetes Foot Protection Service team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based comprehensive assessment, review, and treatment of patients with diabetic foot problems. They will work within agreed local care pathways, codes of practice, and professional standards, and will be expected to develop programmes of care and implement treatment plans using their first-class assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality podiatry care to patients with diabetic foot problems
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to prevent and manage diabetic foot complications
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical quality guidelines
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Valid HCPC registration
  • BSc Diploma/Degree in Podiatric Medicine
  • Minimum of 1 year working in the community (postgraduate)
  • Sound demonstrable knowledge of NICE clinical guidelines relating to diabetic foot problems
