Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced podiatrist to join our team as a Musculoskeletal Lead, Advanced Specialist Podiatrist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with diabetic foot problems.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based comprehensive assessment, review, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions. They will work closely with the Diabetes Foot Protection Service team to deliver high-quality, timely, and accessible services to patients at moderate and high-risk.

The post holder will be expected to take lead responsibility for delivering high-quality services, working within agreed local care pathways, codes of practice, and professional standards. They will also be responsible for embedding clinical quality guidelines and providing specialist and complex podiatry care for a range of acute and chronic foot pathologies within community settings.

Requirements
  • Must hold valid HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of postgraduate training to master's level, advanced clinical practice, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the area of specialism
  • Sound demonstrable knowledge of NICE clinical guidelines relating to diabetic foot problems
