Musculoskeletal Lead, Advanced Specialist Podiatrist

At NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Specialist Podiatrist to take on the role of Musculoskeletal Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified podiatrist with a passion for musculoskeletal care and a desire to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based comprehensive assessment, review, and treatment to patients requiring musculoskeletal clinical intervention. They will work within agreed local care pathways, codes of practice, and professional standards, and will be expected to embed clinical quality guidelines.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide specialist and complex podiatry care for a range of acute and chronic foot pathologies within community settings.
- Develop programmes of care and implement treatment plans using first-class assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Take lead responsibility for delivering high-quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based services for patients requiring musculoskeletal clinical intervention.

Person Specification
- Essential criteria: Must hold valid HCPC registration, evidence of postgraduate training to master's level, advanced clinical practice, or equivalent experience, minimum of 3 years' experience in the area of specialism, sound demonstrable knowledge of NICE clinical guidelines relating to diabetic foot problems.
- Desirable criteria: Leadership skills, commitment to own development, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
