About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger and Billing Officer to join our established finance team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Group achieves cash collection targets and minimises debts of concern.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Invoicing: Raise sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms to pre-agreed systemised billing set up.
  2. Debt Recovery: Chase local authority accounts for payment of invoices and deal with queries.
  3. Cash Allocation: Allocate cash received against the ledger.
  4. Debtor Management: Reduce current debtor days on ledger to agreed target, per customer, per region.
Requirements
  1. Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to network at all levels.
  2. Experience: Experience within a similar role and chasing Local Authorities for payments.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a standard DBS Check, the cost of which will be met by Polaris. Polaris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
