About The Opportunity

School-Based Occupational Therapist

Location:Cardiff

Estimated Salary:£24,999.75 per annum (37.5 hours/week, Term-time only)

About Orbis Education & Care:

We specialise in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at Birchwood School in Cardiff.


Our ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to students, working closely with our experienced team to develop effective strategies for improving daily living skills, fine motor skills, and overall well-being.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To assess and develop individualised occupational therapy plans for students with SEMH challenges and ASD.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals to implement therapy plans.
  • To provide one-to-one and group therapy sessions to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
