Job Summary

Administrative Support Role - Inpatient Wards

We are seeking an administrative support officer to join our team in the inpatient wards at Brooklands Hospital. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to clinical staff, working within an integrated and skill-mixed team.

Main Duties

The post-holder will be required to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team to meet the needs of the services. This will involve learning different admin functions and providing input to the clinical and admin teams. The successful candidate will need to have good communication and customer care skills, as well as standard keyboard and IT skills.

About the Role

The service accepts patients from the West and East Midlands region and beyond. The post-holder will need to share our values of compassion, respect, and empathy towards service users, carers, and colleagues, while maintaining the highest standards of courtesy, confidentiality, and tact.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Good communication and customer care skills, both written and verbal, demonstrating sympathy and compassion
  • Standard keyboard and IT skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, even in situations with predictable interruptions
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations and sensitive issues
  • Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
