Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Fir Tree Lodge. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning and physical disabilities, sight loss, and complex health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to participate in a wide range of activities and engage in their interests.
- Ensure good working practice, including understanding and awareness of health and safety protocols.
- Promote independence and develop skills, assisting with daily tasks and activities to ensure positive life experiences.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies, parents, carers, and services to ensure person-centred care.
- Develop and maintain records and support plans, and function as a Key Worker when required.
- Support individuals to maintain a clean and safe living environment, tailored to their individual needs.
- Participate in regular and ongoing training, relevant to the needs of the individuals you will support.
- Calming and patient approach, with experience of supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Ability to work positively with others, including colleagues, families, and external agencies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Flexibility to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- UK Driving License (if living outside the Tadley area).
