Job Overview

Barnardo's is seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Wellbeing Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing therapeutic support to children and young people across East Lancashire, with a focus on promoting emotional health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering one-to-one and group wellbeing sessions, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with local schools and community organisations. They will work closely with colleagues to provide a holistic approach to supporting children and young people's mental health needs.

Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in Counselling, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, or related field
  • Significant experience of delivering counselling services to children and young people
  • Knowledge of child development and the impact of trauma on young lives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position, with 18 hours per week available. The successful candidate will be required to travel across East Lancashire, using their own vehicle if possible.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
