Barnardo's, a renowned charity organization, is seeking an exceptional Child Development Specialist to join their team in East London. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood development to make a meaningful impact.

The successful candidate will work in one of our two Ofsted-rated 'GOOD' nurseries, located in Tower Hamlets E3 and Hackney E9. Our nursery teams support children from 3 months to 5 years old, providing a nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.

We are looking for candidates interested in pursuing a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or those who already hold a Level 2 qualification and aspire to develop their knowledge and skills. We welcome applications from both qualified and unqualified individuals eager to embark on this rewarding journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement creative learning activities in accordance with EYFS/Ofsted regulations.
  • Be an inspiring presence, designing engaging activities that challenge children's learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, providing support to colleagues when needed.
  • Multitask and manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children through vigilant supervision during play and learning.
  • Possess safeguarding knowledge and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Follow health and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct observations, identify next steps, and implement strategies to promote children's progress.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Engage with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress.
