About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of acquired communication and swallowing disorders across a varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, including those with dementia, progressive neurological disorders, and traumatic brain injury.
  • Provide an inpatient service to patients with acquired communication/swallowing disorders, including those with tracheostomy.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Videofluoroscopy service.
  • Support the development of skills in assessing and managing patients with a tracheostomy.

Requirements

  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy as recognised by RCLST and HCPC.
  • Membership of RCLST.
  • Current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Evidence of successful completion of postgraduate study in dysphagia.
  • To provide evidence of ongoing CPD to meet regulatory body professional standards.
