About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, including those with dementia, progressive neurological disorders, and traumatic brain injury.
- Provide inpatient services to patients with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Videofluoroscopy service.
- Support the development of skills in assessing and managing patients with a tracheostomy.

Requirements
- Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy as recognised by RCLST and HCPC.
- Membership of RCLST.
- Current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
- Evidence of successful completion of postgraduate study in dysphagia.
- Ongoing CPD to meet regulatory body professional standards.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Membership of relevant special interest groups.
- Experience in delivering education and training packages.
- Experience in using Videofluoroscopy.
- Previous experience or interest in developing skills in the assessment and management of patients with tracheostomy.
