About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing adults with a range of acquired communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Speech and Language Therapy assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment for adults with acquired communication disorders across acute wards and stroke services.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to support patients with dysphagia, under the supervision of specialist speech and language therapists.
  • Work collaboratively with stroke patients in acute, outpatient, and community settings, as required by senior SLT stroke specialists.
  • Ensure a multi-professional approach is carried out in the implementation of patient care across acute wards and all stroke services.

Person Specification

  • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy, as recognised by RCLST and HCPC.
  • Membership of RCLST and current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Experience of working with adults with a range of acquired communication difficulties and evidence of effective working in a multidisciplinary team.
