We are seeking an experienced Procurement Leader to support the Group Director of Finance in providing a centralized procurement service to the New City College Group, ensuring proper standards of probity and value for money.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring all procurement actions carried out by the College Group conform to the college's financial regulations and public procurement procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Informing and advising managers and other college staff on procurement policies and procedures, sources of supply, and providing assistance and support in issuing invitations to tender via the E-tendering portal.
  • Dealing with clarifications, evaluating, and reporting on tenders returned, and sending successful/unsuccessful notification letters.
  • Providing guidance on procurement best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will be CIPS qualified or have proven experience in a similar role, with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

New City College is a dynamic group of further education colleges in East London, comprising six colleges with a turnover of £105m, 20,000 students, and 1,900 staff. We offer industry-standard facilities and equipment, expert staff, and partnerships with high-profile organizations.

The College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, and all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an 'Enhanced' DBS check, along with a Children's Barred List check if in regulated activity.
