Our client, a leading provider of heavy plant and machinery services, is seeking a highly skilled Service Supervisor to join their team. As a key member of the service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and delegate workloads effectively to Field Service Engineers, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting customer expectations.
- Manage customer queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, working closely with internal departments as needed.
- Utilize Telematics systems to monitor team movements and machine performance, ensuring a high level of service experience for customers.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and performance of staff, ensuring they are technically sound and up-to-date.
- Provide guidance and support to the team to achieve individual and team-based performance goals.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Timely completion of all documentation.
- Customer Satisfaction Rating within agreed range.
- Warranty returns.
- Job opening/closing.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in heavy plant and machinery services.
- Previous experience managing engineers' workloads.
- GCSEs or equivalent.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
- IT literacy and ability to use Telematics systems.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
- Technical knowledge of heavy plant machinery products.
Personal Attributes:
- Team player with a drive to achieve results.
- Ability to take on responsibility and build confidence in others.
