Our client, a leading provider of heavy plant and machinery services, is seeking a highly skilled Service Supervisor to join their team. As a key member of the service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and delegate workloads effectively to Field Service Engineers, ensuring timely completion of tasks and meeting customer expectations.
  2. Manage customer queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, working closely with internal departments as needed.
  3. Utilize Telematics systems to monitor team movements and machine performance, ensuring a high level of service experience for customers.
  4. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and performance of staff, ensuring they are technically sound and up-to-date.
  5. Provide guidance and support to the team to achieve individual and team-based performance goals.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Timely completion of all documentation.
  2. Customer Satisfaction Rating within agreed range.
  3. Warranty returns.
  4. Job opening/closing.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Experience in heavy plant and machinery services.
  2. Previous experience managing engineers' workloads.
  3. GCSEs or equivalent.
  4. Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Previous supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
  7. IT literacy and ability to use Telematics systems.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Previous experience in a similar environment.
  2. Technical knowledge of heavy plant machinery products.
