About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Preston. The successful candidate will have a Level 2 or above qualification and a genuine interest in supporting and developing young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with their learning and development
  • Assist with classroom activities and provide individualized support
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or above qualification
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Recent experience of working with children in KS1 or KS2
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Recent experience of supporting and assisting pupils with their learning
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Team Teach Certificate
  • Experience of administrative tasks
  • Experience of working with children with SEND
  • Experience of supporting children with challenging behavior
