Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our SEND department as a Learning Mentor. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, and teaching staff to support the academic growth of students with Cognition and Learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the SENCo, teachers, and outside agencies to develop pupil-specific curriculum plans, taking into account baseline data and student profiles.
  • Regularly communicate with class teachers and tutors to review lesson content and intervention impact.
  • Provide academic mentoring to selected learners, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Analyse data accurately to assess progress and improve learning outcomes.
  • Attend regular monitoring reviews to discuss progress with parents, tutors, Head of House, and the SENDCo.
  • Handle, track, and analyse data effectively.
  • Present a professional image of the school at all times.
  • Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Have experience in delivering intervention programmes or be willing to undertake training.
  • Be familiar with assessment tools or have a willingness to learn.
  • A minimum of a grade C / 4 in English and Maths GCSE is required.

We offer a competitive salary range of £27,711-£30,060 per annum, pro-rata £22,247-£24,551, including an allowance for holiday pay.
