About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead a key project on sickness absence management within our council. This important role involves taking a fresh approach to absence management, bringing innovative ideas to policy, practice, and embedding new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing our policies and procedures to align with best practice and organisational values.
  • Developing comprehensive training materials and toolkits to empower managers to proactively support sickness absence.
  • Providing proactive managerial support for complex sickness absence cases.
  • Analysing key performance indicators to measure and demonstrate organisational impact.
About You

We are looking for an HR generalist with strong Employee Relations expertise. The ideal candidate:

  • Possesses exceptional communication skills and quickly builds rapport.
  • Has a proven track record in policy development and implementation.
  • Excels in both case management and project coordination.
  • Can take a creative approach and develop fresh ideas.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills to interpret and act on data.
