About the Role

The BlueGreen Recruit team is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our kitchen team in Wimborne. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality food and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to approved menus.
  • Assist in the preparation and handling of external meals, including pre-packed frozen meals, for delivery and production.
  • Check deliveries for quality, quantity, and description.
  • Economically use materials and equipment to achieve maximum cost efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Clean kitchen areas and equipment to meet Directorate and environmental health standards.
  • Maintain equipment in efficient working order and report any defects or faults.
  • Undertake training courses and attend meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Person Specification:

  • Good food hygiene knowledge.
  • Practical cooking skills.
  • Experience working in a kitchen doing food preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and able to provide cover in the Cook's absence.
