Interim Payroll Officer Opportunity

We are working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands to find an experienced Interim Payroll Officer to assist with their payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Staff and Members Payroll operation, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and timely processing.
  • Control and reconcile payroll and associated control accounts, adhering to scheduled timescales.
  • Administer pensions requirements for Staff and Members pension schemes, including monthly payments, returns, and queries.
  • Provide support to the Exchequer Team with creditor and debtor queries and administration tasks.
Requirements:
  • Essential experience in Payroll, preferably in a Local Government or Public Sector environment.
