Care Support Specialist

The Somme Nursing Home is a charity that provides treatment and quality care for service and ex-service persons since 1914. We are seeking a Care Support Specialist to join our team in Belfast.
We offer a competitive salary of £11.44 per hour, which increases to £11.81 after six months of probationary period. The successful candidate will work on a full-time basis, with day duty, night duty, or bank shifts available.
In this role, you will be responsible for helping residents with their physical environment and daily activities. You will support the nursing staff in providing total care to all patients and assist residents with dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting. You will also help with mobility problems and other disabilities, including incontinence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care needs
- Help with mobility issues and disabilities
- Care for residents who are sick or dying
- Promote mental and physical activity among residents
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment
- Support nursing staff in providing care
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of recent experience working in care and residential settings
- NISCC registration (or willingness to register)
- Access NI disclosure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
