About the Role

Brown & Brown Europe is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Account Handler to join our team based out of our Ipswich office. As a Senior Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for handling commercial and corporate-sized risks for prestigious clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling new business enquiries, renewals, and midterm adjustments for various insurance policies
  • Providing unbiased and informed choice, fantastic customer service, and market buying power that delivers the right insurance protection
  • Servicing client accounts within the renewals lifecycle process, including renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, processing adjustments, and preparing client reports and other documentation
  • Working with Account Executives/Directors in the achievement of new business and renewal targets through proactive administration and customer support
  • Supporting AE's/Directors through management of their prospect pipeline, providing profiling on prospects through use of telephone, other media, and by accessing information within the public domain
  • Being aware of current new business appointments and undertaking some pre-visit fact finding, including research of credit reports, Google, and website information
  • Preparing detailed renewal review reports on behalf of the book or AE and obtaining current claims experience where needed
  • Obtaining quotations for agreed 'up sales' (e.g. excess PL, D&O, excess PI, loss recovery, or additional services) and including in the review document
  • Dealing with incoming enquiries from clients (both allocated and unallocated as required), insurers, and other third parties in a professional and timely manner, involving the relevant AE/Director if necessary due to technical nature or relationship issue
  • Maintaining an efficient diary system, including age debtors lists, accounts queries, chasing documentation, and renewal terms
  • Liaising with insurers and other third parties regarding the administration of client's insurance needs
  • Providing high-level administration and customer support to another colleague on occasions, as directed by the Commercial Administration Team leader
